Are you interested in developing your companyfs
business in Japan or Korea? Would you like to rapidly acquire a better
understanding of the business language and culture
of Japan or Korea?
ETP
is an intensive professional development programme during which participants
learn to communicate, to appreciate the culture of Japan or Korea and
to successfully develop their business in
what are acknowledged as difficult business environments. The
ETP training programme is a unique tool designed to provide EU companies with
the latest, most insightful and advanced knowledge of the Japanese or
Korean economy. For these reasons, you are encouraged to consider either participating in
the programme or identifying one of your European employees whose contribution
to your company as well as his/her personal career path within your company
would be enhanced by participating.
Applications for the Executive Training Programme in Japan (ETP Japan) and Korea (ETP Korea) are now being received for the 2009-10 period.
This is a golden opportunity to
train one of your companyfs European executives for one of these markets in a
short time with substantial financial support from the European
Commission.
This programme is open to all European nationals who are working for companies
of the 27 EU Member States and who meet specified requirements.
Participants can be drawn from the companyfs employees already based in
Japan.
OUTSTANDING FEATURES OF THE PROGRAMMES INCLUDE:
The overall programme is completed in just 12 months.
The participants remain largely
based in their companies for the first 3 months of language and business
culture training, which is conducted by distance education and only requires
time off to join short intensive-immersion training sessions at three of the
most prestigious universities in Europe:
University of London – School of Oriental &
African Languages – London, UK
The next 6-month period of
intensive language and business culture training is spent at:
Waseda University in Tokyo, Japan
or
Yonsei University in Seoul, South Korea
The remaining 3-month period is spent as an intern in Japanese or Korean companies.
During the 3-month internship
in Japan or Korea, the participant will be required to prepare a strategic
business plan for his/her original EU employer
This consortium of universities
will issue prestigious official academic certification on the successful
completion of the course
To support successful
applicants during the 9-month period in Japan or Korea, the European
Commission will provide a grant of 24,000 euros.
The cost of the university education (excluding travel and accommodation) in Europe and Japan or Korea will be borne by the European Commission.
These streamlined and upgraded
features of the new course will ensure that the participants remain in close
contact with their employer companies and enhance the retention of their EU
company loyalty while gaining language and business expertise in the chosen
location of Japan or Korea.
