Details: Publishers across the world are facing unprecedented levels of disruption to traditional business models and formats as a result of the rise of social platforms, the move to mobile, and growing consumer rejection of online advertising.

Yet more people are reading and paying for news than ever before, with a huge surge in the number of people using mobile digital devices to access information. While print newspapers dominated the industry a decade ago, young consumers are now more likely to access news and information through mobile.

With more people consuming news within social media platforms, further questions have arisen regarding real news vs 'fake news' and facts vs 'alternative facts'. Some platforms and news outlets have recently been accused of creating and enforcing echo chambers in which like-minded users share and read articles that confirm their beliefs.

How balanced is the average news feed and how can the public determine what is and what isn't the truth? What are publishers doing to cope with incredible shifts in technology and in customer behaviour?

Find out the answers to these questions and join us for lunch and a lively discussion with Jonathan Wright, Managing Director International of Dow Jones, to hear how the company has changed its strategy to meet changing consumer trends and needs. Jonathan will share his insights into the future of publishing and how The Wall Street Journal retains its credibility in an increasingly complex news environment.
